I have long been a huge fan of the band Tower of Power. This painting is done from a photo by Bob “Burchie” Burchfield, who graciously permitted its use for this project. The band’s founder and leader, Emilio Castillo (“Mimi”), is in the foreground, and the band’s original bassist, the legendary Francis “Rocco” Prestia, is in the background in “soft focus”. This band has been together since 1968, and is still going strong!
