This 1964 Chevy Impala has seen happier times, don’t you think? When doing these rust and patina paintings, I am attracted to these subjects where the rust and the elements over many years have broken the pigments in the paint into colors that were not there before, or perhaps shown colors that were on the cars through previous paint jobs. I loved the purples on this one.
